If one goes into the Activities Overview and clicks on an application, the AO closes and it opens. This seems logical and it is what most probably want most of the time, however I on many occasions need to open several applications at the same time, or do a search and then get it to open multiple items at a time so that I don't need to have to keep re-entering the AO.

So what I would really like to see would be something like shift + click (or similar) on an item to open it but not close the AO, and just normal click to open it and also close the AO.

I initially made this request here: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/gnome-shell/+bug/1610612 But thought I should also do so upstream.

Is control + click similar enough? ;-)
