Description Will Song 2016-07-17 02:07:28 UTC
If I have two x servers running on :0 and :1, and nm-applet is started in :0, starting nm-applet in :1 exits immediately and does not show up in the tray.
Comment 1 Jiri Klimes 2016-07-18 10:17:30 UTC
The possibility to run multiple instances of nm-applet was removed by porting to GApplication.
https://git.gnome.org/browse/network-manager-applet/commit/?id=9b002809514ae905b2ad9590a794c4a2503b89e7

But I think it is useful to be able to run several instances.

[PATCH] allow running multiple nm-applets

bugzilla.gnome.org is being shut down in favor of a GitLab instance.
We are closing all old bug reports and feature requests in GNOME Bugzilla which have not seen updates for a long time.

If you still use NetworkManager and if you still see this bug / want this feature in a recent and supported version of NetworkManager, then please feel free to report it at https://gitlab.freedesktop.org/NetworkManager/NetworkManager/-/issues/

Thank you for creating this report and we are sorry it could not be implemented (workforce and time is unfortunately limited).
