I think that it would be really good if one could upgrade extensions through the gnome-tweak-tool interface as one can do through the website. Currently one is forced to go to the GNOME Extensions website in order to check for upgrades and upgrade one's extensions, however I think it would be better if one could just do it through the gnome-tweak-tool if one wants to. I am running Ubuntu GNOME 16.04 with GNOME 3.20 and would really like this feature, I have also seen other users asking for this feature.

I initially requested this feature here but thought I should also do so upstream: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/gnome-tweak-tool/+bug/1603622

The idea is to allow upgrading extensions through "gnome-software" in GNOME version 3.22 [1]. Hence closing this task about gnome-tweak-tool as WONTFIX.
