This crash has been reported several times in Fedora 24 with gnome-software 3.19.92 to 3.20.3. Unfortunately, no reporter really knows how to reproduce it (since it happens in the background). One interesting data point is that two reporters mentioned running 'sudo dnf update" just before the crash, so it's likely related.
