Description Sébastien Wilmet 2016-06-20 12:21:49 UTC
With gnome-terminal 3.20 (maybe earlier too) in Fedora, the menu is missing the 'Open new tab' action.

Opening a new tab is still possible with the keyboard shortcut: Ctrl+Shift+T.

But for usability, it's better to have the action in the menu too. To have a self-discoverable UI.

Found bug #707846.

But I think the option in the preferences is awkward. Sometimes I want to open a new terminal in a new window, and sometimes in a new tab. The menu should offer the two actions by default, this would improve the usability in my opinion.

Another related bug: bug #543996.

What is wrong with the two following actions in the menu:
- New window
- New tab

Let's keep the discussion in one bug. It's easier to follow that way.
