GNOME Bugzilla – Bug 766462
800% zoom does not work in certain dvi documents
Last modified: 2018-05-22 16:39:36 UTC
Created attachment 327911 [details] beta.mf Forwarding from https://bugs.debian.org/787210 ---------- Dear Maintainer, * What led up to the situation? When I open certain dvi files in evince and set the zoom level to 800%, evince does not show anything. I tried to replicate this with .dvi files from TeX, but there this problem does not occur, as the zoom level is limited to 400 %. Here is the path that led me to the problem: I ran `mf beta.mf; gftodvi beta.2602.gf; evince beta.dvi` (file beta.mf attached) and set the zoom level to 800%. My mf version is 2.7182818 and my version of gftodvi is 3.0 (TeX Live 2015/dev/Debian) * What was the outcome of this action? The box displays 611.13%, and the window does not show anything except the black lines (the gray beta and the text disappeared). * What outcome did you expect instead? The character should have been displayed at 800% zoom. ----------
Created attachment 327912 [details] beta.dvi This is the DVI file generated from beta.mf. I can confirm that after zooming to about 530%, the text and the beta letter disappears.
