Description Nicholas Miell 2016-04-22 02:46:16 UTC
If you start downloading a video file into a directory monitored by Rygel, Rygel will attempt to thumbnail it or index it or something, discover that it is "corrupt" (because it is incomplete) and then blacklist it. Once blacklisted, it'll never remove the file from the blacklist and the Rygel workflow becomes: download a file, killall rygel, delete the media-export.db, and then restart Rygel.

There's a simpler way:

- get https://git.gnome.org/browse/rygel/tree/examples/mx-info
- mx-info --unblacklist file:///as/some/uri
- touch file

Then again I would advise against downloading into shared folders. This has caused a lot of crashing in the past.
