GNOME Bugzilla – Bug 765166
PDF Export image upscaled and blurry
Last modified: 2016-10-09 18:03:41 UTC
Steps to reproduce: - Take an image with 72 PPI and text on it like a screenshot of a terminal window. - Export it as PDF - Open pdf, set viewer size to 100% - Compare it with the image in GIMP The image is upscaled and the text is blurry. If you set the pdf viewer size to 75% it looks ok. The expected behaviour is that the image within the pdf has the same size as the image in Gimp, both zoom levels at 100%. PS: I've seen another program with exactly the same issue using cairo printing.
Did you disable "View -> dot for dot" in GIMP? Also, please upgrade to 2.8.16, the latest stable.
I just tried this, and it's exactly the same size at 100% in both GIMP and evince. However both are wrong since they use outdated API to figure the screen size. GIMP master (unstable) gets it right, but disagrees with evince.
