GNOME Bugzilla – Bug 764951
There should be a link to the Input Source selection settings in the Input Source selector pull-down menu

Created attachment 325797 [details] Input_Source_Changer_Menu_GNOME.png In Unity there is a link in the Input Source selector pull-down menu in the AppIndicator area to the Input Source settings (the "Text Entry Settings..." button): Input_Source_Changer_Menu_Unity.png I think this is very useful as you can get to the settings regarding the Input Sources very easily, in GNOME there is no such link: Input_Source_Changer_Menu_GNOME.png But I think that there should be (it should link to the "Region & Language" section in the gnome-control-center). I initially filed this report here but thought I should also do so upstream: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/gnome-shell/+bug/1569314

GNOME is going to shut down bugzilla.gnome.org in favor of gitlab.gnome.org. As part of that, we are mass-closing older open tickets in bugzilla.gnome.org which have not seen updates for a longer time (resources are unfortunately quite limited so not every ticket can get handled). If you can still reproduce the situation described in this ticket in a recent and supported software version, then please follow https://wiki.gnome.org/GettingInTouch/BugReportingGuidelines and create a new ticket at https://gitlab.gnome.org/GNOME/gnome-shell/-/issues/ Thank you for your understanding and your help.
