GNOME Bugzilla – Bug 764499
Text's font size isn't saved upon exporting, when the edited doc is an imported PDF with an imported resolution of more than 100
Last modified: 2016-10-09 17:56:13 UTC
Created attachment 325220 [details] Two PDFs, same font used for both, one PDF is imported with 100dpi and one with 200dpi Summary: Adding text to an imported (into GIMP) PDF file, via the text tool, when the imported resolution is greater than 100, results in that the text's font size isn't kept upon exporting the edited file. Setup: GIMP 2.8.2 OS: Debian Wheezy x64 Steps to reproduce 1) GIMP -> Open -> select a PDF file (preferably with not many pages, although it does not matter for the reproducibility wise) 2) A "Import from PDF" dialog box window opens, set the "Resolution" field to "200" 3) Click the "Import" button 4) Select "Tools" -> "Text" 5) Create a text box 6) Type "a" in the text box 7) Highlight the "a" 8) Change it's font size to "400" 9) File -> Export (export as PDF) 10) Open the exported PDF Expected results: The size of the letter "a" in GIMP's editing window will match the size of "a" in the exported PDF. Actual results: The size in the exported PDF is considerably smaller Notes: Cannot reproduce on Windows 7 Ultimate X64, GIMP 2.8.16
Please upgrade to 2.8.16 on linux too and check if you can reproduce it.
