Description yveslejeune 2016-02-22 21:18:58 UTC
When I rip a CD, I would like to be able to get flac files without the CUESHEET block.
My Pioneer car stereo is able to play flac files generated by Rhythmbox as the result of a CD rip, provided the flac files have no CUESHEET section.
I can play flac files produced by older version of Ubuntu and gstreamer, where CUSSHEET blocks were not present, but I can not play the new flac files having a CUESHEET block.
I have verified that it is the CUESHEET block that prevents playing: if I remove this block with metaflac command, I can play the "purged" file.
I guess other devices have the same kind of limitation, not just Pioneer devices ?

I think you can do this already with flacenc seekpoints=0 (but don't ask me how to teach rhythmbox to do that without changing the source code).
