Description Axel Beckert 2002-03-24 21:32:17 UTC
Problem description:
--------------------

In the bookmark edit dialog, you can select a bookmark image by clicking
the 'browse' button. Unfortunately I see no possibility neither to select
images beginning with a dot nor to change to a directory beginning with a
dot (like '.galeon').

Even if I'm in the parent directory of the dot-directory I want the cd to
and I enter the dot-directory's name, Galeon tries to fetch that
dot-directory as image instead of cd to it. This is also documented on the
console where I started Galeon:

** WARNING **: `/home/abe/.galeon' does not exist or is not a valid image file

My suggestions for solving these problems:
------------------------------------------

IMHO the browse popup should either show all files/directories, including
those beginning with a dot or having a switch to toggle the display of dot
files immediately.

IMHO entering a directory's name in the 'Selection' field should cd to that
directory instead of selecting it, if and only the selection is expected
not to be a directory.

For hidden files and directories you have to use the location line and
manually select the filename or change to the given hidden directory.
