Since doxygen 1.8.11, the setting of the CASE_SENSE_NAMES flag seems to be ignored.

Consider a file blub.dox with the following content:

/** \mainpage UG_Main Mainpage

\subpage UG_Blub

*/

/** \page UG_Blub Huhu

Text

*/


Running doxygen 1.8.11 or the current version (a2cc3499) from git with a Doxyfile that has FILE_PATTERNS = *.dox  and CASE_SENSE_NAMES = NO on Linux generates an HTML output with the file UG_Blub.html, while it was _u_g__blub.html with previous doxygen versions (e.g., 1.8.10 was ok).

Fix looks like to be pagedef.cpp (constructor):
-  static bool shortNames = Config_getBool(SHORT_NAMES);
-  m_fileName = shortNames ? convertNameToFile(n) : QCString(n);
+  m_fileName = convertNameToFile(n);

but this breaks test 055.

Note that the change in pagedef.cpp was made for bug #755080

I've just pushed a proposed patch to github (pull request 446), also taking into consideration bug #755080

This bug was previously marked ASSIGNED, which means it should be fixed in
doxygen version 1.8.12. Please verify if this is indeed the case. Reopen the
bug if you think it is not fixed and please include any additional information 
that you think can be relevant (preferably in the form of a self-contained example).
