It's been a while since you reported this. My apologies for the long delay. I have dug a bit deeper into this issue. The source of the problem is the version of webkit we're using. It has no support for HiDPI screens at all. Unfortunately switching to a more recent version of webkit is not an option for the current stable series. I hope to be able to get this in place for gnucash 2.8, the next major release. For the time being I have implemented a workaround in the 2.6 series. It will allow you to define a zoom factor for all reports. Setting this to for example 2 will double the display size of all reports. This option can be found under Edit->Preferences->Reports starting with gnucash 2.6.16 (still to be released at the time of this writing). I hope this helps a bit already.
Hi Geert I don't have a HiDPI screen but I'm seeing tiny reports too (Fedora25-64). I also see an error opening the Preferences dialog: * 15:37:46 CRIT <gnc.app-utils.gsettings> [gnc_gsettings_bind()] Invalid key default-zoom for schema general.report I can't change the zoom.
Forgot to mention this is in maint branch.
It's back to normal now.
