Initially I have posted this issue here: https://sourceforge.net/p/pcmanfm/bugs/980/

The documentation of g_utf8_collate_key_for_filename says that it sorts filenames with numbers intelligent without being more precise about it but providing an example. But for example I'm getting the ordering "1" "2" "002" "3" with it but since the number 2 in both variants is basically equal I would expect "002" being before "2" then.
