Description Dmitry Shachnev 2015-12-17 08:39:34 UTC
Forwarded from https://bugs.debian.org/808093:

Currently in the preferences dialog one can set the background color for the panel.

However, if the theme is light one (such as default Adwaita), then the text will remain black even when the panel color is set to black. So it is impossible to make the panel background black and text color white while keeping the apps light.

Solution #1 (easy): add an option to use the dark variant of system theme (i.e. like gnome-terminal used to do).

Solution #2 (a bit more difficult): add an option to set the text color (aka foreground) in addition to background color.

Solution #1 is available in master. I do plan to add text color option in properties dialog, but I have no idea when I will have time to do it - it is not easy task.
