GNOME Bugzilla – Bug 759285
Message lost when saving draft
Last modified: 2016-05-16 11:59:10 UTC
When composing a new email clicking 'close and save' closes the draft without it being saved. Needless to say, failing to save a lengthy draft email is rather unfriendly behaviour. I am running v0.10 of Geary, as shipped in Fedora, and the account is a gmail account connected via IMAP.
I've faced with the same issue! Drafts are neither being saved nor updated (ones that were saved from web). Archlinux, IMAP account. $ pacman -Ss geary community/geary 0.10.0-2
And it doesn't affect replying emails. Only new emails are not able to be saved.
Same happens to me, but with one little difference: The draft will be saved, but in the same moment Geary crashes. Tried to use gdb --args geary --debug 2>&1 | tee geary.gdb, but with no success, no stack, no output. The last thing if I start geary with -d is a memory access violence error. Working with elementary OS 0.3.1, 32 Bit.
I can confirm this issue just happened to me after typing a long email. The message doesn't seem to be saved anywhere.
I also can confirm this. When clicking "Close and Save" the draft is lost completely and nowhere to be found. I've also tried clicking on a different email, as to force geary to show me the message "Close open draft message?" but that doesn't save the draft either. Using Ubuntu 14.04 and geary 0.10.0 from the ppa
