Steps to reproduce:

1; Log in to Gnome Shell with Gnome on Wayland selected.
2; Open Gnome Terminal.
3; Run the following command in the terminal: echo 'http://google.com/'
4; Right click on the text "http://google.com/" and select "Open Link" from the popup menu.

Expected result:
A new browser window should be opened with the URL "http://google.com/".

Actual result:
No browser window opened.

Environment:
  - Gnome terminal version: 3.18.2
  - Xorg server 1.18.0
  - Wayland 1.9.0
