GNOME Bugzilla – Bug 75746
Keypad 'Plus' button doesn't work with gnome-calculator.
Last modified: 2004-12-22 21:47:04 UTC
To Reproduce: 1) Start gnome-calculator. 2) Switch on NumLock, attempt to add two numbers using the '+' key on the keypad and gnome-calculator as the display. The "Plus" button on the keypad doesn't work with gnome-calculator, but does work with other calculator applications proving it's not a keyboard fault.
gnome-calculator starts with numlock on by default, so hitting the numlock key toggles it off. My original inclination was to mark this "NOTABUG", but the fact that this has come up twice in a week makes me think maybe the behavior needs to be changed.
I found out that when the numlock is on, numbers 6,8,4,2 on the number pad doesn't work. Instead, they move the focus as if they are arrow keys
For me, using beta2 on Solaris, when I have Numlock on, numbers 6,8,4,2, seem to work, but the decimal point actually clears the display, as opposed to inserting a decimal point.
Urgh. This is another weird gtk/solaris keymapping issue, I'm guessing.
On Linux, I get the decimal point either in the default, or after hitting numlock
I tested version 1.102.0 version of calculator on Solaris 2.9(64 bit). It is not working.
