Description aaron 2002-03-20 18:30:02 UTC
For example, open http://bugzilla.gnome.org in Nautilus. Click any link.
You'll get the message:

Couldn't display "http://bug-howto.html", because no host "bug-howto.html"
could be found. Check that the spelling is correct and that your proxy
settings are correct.

oops.
Comment 1 John Fleck 2002-04-03 14:57:49 UTC
Bumping up the priority. If Nautilus is going to be a web browser,
this has to work.
Comment 2 Dave Bordoley [Not Reading Bug Mail] 2002-04-05 08:04:05 UTC
Just thought i'd comment, galeon is being ported to gnome2 right now
and it will have a nautilus view. i'm also pretty sure it's going to
be able to use either mozilla or gtkhtml as the rendering agent.
Comment 3 Dave Bordoley [Not Reading Bug Mail] 2002-04-06 20:45:10 UTC
also, my guess is that this is a bug with gtkhtml view not sending the
correct url information to nautilus.
Comment 4 Luis Villa 2002-04-16 03:37:48 UTC
Pretty sure (and someone /please/ correct me if I'm wrong) that this
is not a high priority for 2.0, esp. if (1) we have a good galeon
component on the way and (2) this didn't work in 1.4 either.

Just tested and work fine with nautilus 2.4 and gtkhtml 2.4.1 on a
Debian unstable, this bug could be probably closed.
Comment 7 Zack Cerza 2004-08-11 18:25:29 UTC
Nautilus 2.7.2 won't open 'http://bugzilla.gnome.org' - Epiphany has no problems
following the links. Should this be closed?
Comment 8 Sebastien Bacher 2005-01-22 17:58:22 UTC
nautilus is a file-browser, http page are opened in the web browser now, bug closed
