GNOME Bugzilla – Bug 756037
In new installation, create the standard list of accounts, Save As fails (Not responding)
Last modified: 2018-06-29 23:43:33 UTC
In a new installation of 2.6.8 I try to create a new file. When I create the standard list of accounts, it prompts to Save As. I enter a file name and location, creating a new folder. After pressing "Save As" the program goes into Not Responding status. I have tried this several times on two separate machines, one 32-bit, the other 64-bit (but installed under x-86), each running Windows 7. Steps to reproduce (version 1) 0. Install gnucash-2.6.8-setup.exe - works ok. (Required once only) 1. Open GnuCash 2. Close Tip Of The Day 3. Click on Save 4. Enter a file name, e.g. "Test" 5. Navigate to user's Documents file 6. Create a sub-folder, e.g. "GnuCash" 7. Press Save - nothing happens. 8. Click anywhere on window - "Not responding" shows. There is still no response after several minutes. Steps to reproduce (version 2) 1. Open GnuCash 2. Close Tip Of The Day 3. Click on File, New File 4. Click on Forward repeatedly until Apply appears. 5. Click on Apply 6. Enter a file name, e.g. "Test" 7. Navigate to user's Documents file and sub-folder created above. 8. Press Save As - nothing happens. 9. Click anywhere on window - "Not responding" shows. There is still no response after several minutes.
