GNOME Bugzilla – Bug 755714
nautilus can't find files on my external disk
Last modified: 2017-08-23 18:32:38 UTC
Created attachment 312263 [details] Videos directory in Seagate external disk has webm videos Nautilus has become dumber and useless in 3.18. Can't search for files in external disks. My external backup seagate disk has videos and other stuff. Now with 3.18 (fedora 23 beta); nautilus is not doing recursive search. This is very disappointing. The attachment shows that there are .webm videos; the other attachment shows the erorr. using terminal find command I'm getting the listing. [rizvan@localhost Seagate]$ find . -iname "*webm" find: ‘./lost+found’: Permission denied ./Videos/Sunday Girl - Love U More.webm ./Videos/Robert Miles - Children (Official Video 1080p).webm This new behavior is extremely unhelpful, and makes life difficult for the users. Please revert back this "smart" change.
Created attachment 312264 [details] webm: no results found, try a different search... Seriously?
Even for mounted partitions of the same disk, it is not working (recursive search) for webm.
