Description Ruben Kelevra 2015-09-06 00:57:56 UTC
Version 1.0.6

When I enter a IPv6 for a DNS-Server, like 2001:4860:4860::8888, save, and enable this profile this DNS-Entry does not work.

When I reopen the tab, the IPv6 has disappeard and the field is filled with:

32.1.72.96

Could you please specify which component you are using and which version of the component of NetworkManager?

Possible components include:

   nm-applet (or nm-connetion-editor)
   gnome-control-center
   plasma-nm

It's the build-in Network-Editor of Gnome. Gnome and all subsets has been installed in the latest stable version (since I'm using arch).

Don't know how this window is exactly named, since there is no "info" tab.

Best regards

Ruben

Adding a IPv6 to the DNS-field:

Save and reopen the profile:

The Network Manager tries to read the IPv6 as IPv4.

It's the gnome-control-center.

Entering IPv6 DNS server DOES work; it's the editing that doesn't work.

e.g. if you enter f.e. ::1 for a first time, the settings is correctly saved and used, but when you open the dialogue again, it will show as '0.0.0.0' (in red).

Reassigning component to gnome-control-center.
