GNOME Bugzilla – Bug 754517
Grid size in percent, relative to the canvas
Last modified: 2018-05-24 15:37:41 UTC
defining a grid size in units (cm, mm, pt, ect ) is very precise but not always the optimal format, so id suggest to add also percent, its very adaptive and useful.
I agree it would make sense. I'm not sure why, but it looks like percent unit was not shown on purpose. If anyone has any idea why, because I think percent is a unit which makes sense for a grid. I did a quick test adding the percent unit back into the grid list, but it was broken (it was definitely not showing the right conversion pixel <-> percent). That's maybe why it was not shown: by laziness of fixing the conversion? :-D Anyway I say we should add percent unit to the list and fix the pixel/percent conversion for this widget.
+1 for adding it [back]
Supportive reason in my own bug report: https://bugzilla.gnome.org/show_bug.cgi?id=766951
