Description:
I had a swallowed application.  Kill it using kill.  The panel offered
to reload and I accepted.  For some reason, it did not restarted the
aplication, and the cooresponding slot on the panel remained gray.  I
right-click on it and selected remove from the menu.  Crash happened.

Not sure why you filed under Nautilus. This looks like a panel bug.
