Description Tom Tryfonidis 2015-08-26 11:23:48 UTC
It's been a couple of days now that we can't receive new emails to our list. I got an email today from Google's Delivery subsystem, as a reply to a mail i sent to the list yesterday:

"This is an automatically generated Delivery Status Notification
THIS IS A WARNING MESSAGE ONLY.
YOU DO NOT NEED TO RESEND YOUR MESSAGE.
Delivery to the following recipient has been delayed:

     team@gnome.gr

Message will be retried for 2 more day(s)

Technical details of temporary failure:
DNS Error: Address resolution of smtp.gnome.org.gnome.gr. failed: Domain name not found

----- Original message -----

Content of my mail"

The problem also exists with the automatic mails from Damned lies. (gnome-el-list@gnome.org)

Back then when we migrated our services to GNOME infrastructure, Andrea Veri created the following mail alias if that helps:

team@lists.gnome.gr gnome-el-list@gnome.org
team@gnome.gr gnome-el-list@gnome.org

Could you please take a look at this?
Comment 1 Andrea Veri 2015-08-26 12:39:40 UTC
Committed a fix, please try again.
Comment 2 Tom Tryfonidis 2015-08-26 14:57:57 UTC
- Sending an email to gnome-el-list@gnome.org:

From me, works ok
From Damned lies, nothing is coming

- Sending an email to team@gnome.gr:

From me (& you), messages are hold for modetation.

In one of my emails i've got this explanation:

The reason it is being held: Message has implicit destination

which is relevant to this http://wiki.list.org/DOC/What%20does%20%22message%20has%20implicit%20destination%22%20mean%3F

- Sending an email to team@lists.gnome.gr nothing happens
Comment 3 Andrea Veri 2015-08-26 16:13:47 UTC
Fixed sending emails to team@lists.gnome.gr (dig MX lists.gnome.gr should tell you). Fixed the 'has implicit destination' error as I added another alias for both team@gnome.gr and team@lists.gnome.gr.

Please verify them again.

Last remaining item is how are you telling damned-lies to mail gnome-el-list?
Comment 4 Tom Tryfonidis 2015-08-26 20:27:28 UTC
Mail and aliases works great!

Damned lies send emails automatically to the mailing lists, when you set an address to the team's page (gnome-el-list@gnome.org in our case [1]). Also each team have to create a user for the noreply@gnome.org to receive these mails.

I've made some comments to Damned lies but nothing came to the list. Maybe it's an issue with Damned lies mail queue system?

Should be resolved.
