This is a 1.4 panel bug, moving to gnome-core
this is a good bug report. the gnome panel should NOT crash after a kernel upgrade. I'm upping the priority.
Has this been fixed in a later release? If not please try the next one, because it has a fix for applets crashing the panel on startup.
Any ideas on this? Has it changed in later releases?
