GNOME Bugzilla – Bug 752324
Gstreamer 1.5.2 crashes on Android (regression)
Last modified: 2015-08-13 16:21:15 UTC
Created attachment 307341 [details] adb logcat I have developed an Android app which uses gstreamer to receive an rtsp stream from gst-rtsp-server. It is heavily based on the gstreamer examples. I developed it using the 1.4.5 SDK debug packages which worked fine. Today I tried to port it to the 1.5.2 SDK and it is instantly crashing as soon as a video stream is received. adb logcat output is attached. I just tested with 1.5.1 and that seems to work correctly. I am not sure how to debug this further.
Marking as regression since it worked with earlier versions, assuming a bug in GStreamer for now.
That ring a bell about something we fixed right after 1.5.2, but I'm unsure. Maybe ask gkiakia and xclasse
Setting NEEDINFO for now, please re-test with git master (or 1.5.3 once it's out, which should be really soon). Also, this does not seem to be a general problem that affects all devices apparently.
At least http and filesrc playback isn't affected here.
Thanks for taking the time to report this. This particular bug has already been reported into our bug tracking system, but we are happy to tell you that the problem has already been fixed. It should be solved in the next software version. You may want to check for a software upgrade provided by your Linux distribution. *** This bug has been marked as a duplicate of bug 751664 ***
