GNOME Bugzilla – Bug 750067
Add preview to import path file chooser dialog
Last modified: 2018-05-24 15:16:56 UTC
whenever i import a path (*.svg) file the browser shows no thumbnail.
Can you attach a sample SVG file?
Reproduced with GIMP 2.8.14 from wgo, and with local builds (2.8.14, 2.9.1) on OS X 10.7.5: the file chooser dialog opened via context menu of the Paths dialog [1] does not have a thumbnail image, nor an option to enable it. When opening an SVG file e.g. via 'File > Open' or 'File > Open as Layers', the file chooser dialog does show the thumbnail of the selected SVG file as expected (in all tested builds). -- [1] http://docs.gimp.org/2.8/en/gimp-path-dialog.html#gimp-concepts-paths-menu
Ah, so is this about that whole right part of the chooser not being there at all?

AFAICT yes - see attached screenshot taken with official GIMP 2.8.14 for OS X from www.gimp.org.
