Description Allan Day 2015-04-10 17:21:53 UTC
Currently, if you want to drag a folder to the sidebar, you have to drag it to the (tiny) bookmarks section, so that a "New Bookmark" item is shown. Since the drop target is only visible once you are over it:

(a) You have to have ESP to know that it is possible to create a bookmark through drag and drop.
(b) You don't have a clear idea of the location you are dragging to, and you have to hunt around for it.

It would be far better if the new bookmark item could be displayed for the entire duration of the drag operation.

There's some discussion about this in bug 732103. Bug 712790 is also related.
