GNOME Bugzilla – Bug 747592
Folders available to pick a picture for the background image
Last modified: 2015-04-10 12:02:35 UTC
Created attachment 301246 [details] it shows that a picture cannot be selected if it's inside a folder for the background image This is a suggestion I would like to see implemented in future versions of gnome, I attached a video for a better explanation: As the video shows, at this time is not posible to select a picture directly from the folder that contains the picture I want to set as the background image because they must reside in the root of pictures folder but since I have them all organized into folders is not posible yet to select them, I would like to see all my folders in that window and then pick the folder where the image I want to use is located, also it should be posible to select the desired image outside the pictures folder.
That's not a bug. You can use the image viewer or the file manager to set new backgrounds that are outside this folder.
