GNOME Bugzilla – Bug 745872
Disabled dropdown element on the right of "OpenPGP Key ID" under account's "Security" settings
Last modified: 2018-08-03 19:46:50 UTC
F22, Evolution and Seahorse 3.15.90. Under "PGP Keys > GnuPG keys", Seahorse shows two "Personal PGP key"s, with the name that I entered and the email address (if I defined it). I created these two keys in this GNOME session by following https://help.gnome.org/users/seahorse/stable/pgp-create.html Going to "Edit > Preferences > Mail Accounts > Edit > Security > Pretty Good Privacy > OpenPGP Key ID", I have no idea how to get any dropdown proposals (that v arrow is always disabled). Am I really supposed to start Seahorse, right-click on a PGP key, choose "Properties", mark the Key ID, copy it, and paste it? If yes, why is there a dropdown element displayed on the right of "OpenPGP Key ID" if it's just a simple text field with no dropdown proposals? (I was trying to update https://help.gnome.org/users/evolution/unstable/mail-encryption-gpg-set-up so for the time being I'll tell people to start Seahorse. Meh.)
Works for me with: libcryptui-3.12.2-4.fc21.x86_64 seahorse-3.14.0-3.fc21.x86_64 Added key is shown in the evolution's UI. I cannot test this in rawhide, with: libcryptui-3.12.2-4.fc22.x86_64 seahorse-3.15.90-1.fc23.x86_64 because seahorse crashes for me as soon as I confirm to create a PGP Key with a backtrace at bug #744195. So the problem can be: a) seahorse is not setting right flags on the key (evolution accepts only CRYPTUI_FLAG_CAN_SIGN and CRYPTUI_FLAG_IS_VALID and is not expired/revoked/ disabled). b) libcryptui misses the key for some reason, or sets flags incorrectly. I'm moving this to seahorse/libcryptui for further investigation.
