GNOME Bugzilla – Bug 745398
GNOME Can Be Offensive on Sundays (zh_CN)
Last modified: 2019-03-20 10:53:15 UTC
Created attachment 298241 [details] On Sunday... I doesn't seem happy. GNOME Shell's time and date display only shows the last character of a day. For example... "Monday" -> "星期一" or "周一", however, displayed as "一". This is not a problem, but on Sunday it will display the last character "日", and this has some really bad meaning in Chinese speaking culture (including Traditional Chinese usage)... The problem may be resolved if we use a two character form of day of week, like "周三 (Wednesday)", and "周日 (Sunday)". Regards Jeff Bai
Seems to be a translation problem, reassigning.
