The newly updated bugzilla features a new text for "fixed in stable"
in which the reporter is encourage to update the status to VERIFIED
at a later time

I think this is a bad idea.

1. As a maintainer, I really don't want to be spammed with random
   verifications.  For the few I would like verification, I would
   much rather ask for it explicitly.

2. I am always wary of asking reporters to do pointless work.

Suggestion: remove second paragraph.
