Hello,

as reported downstream at https://bugs.gentoo.org/show_bug.cgi?id=536156,

gnome-shell 3.14 requires a new enough gsettings-desktop-schemas, but configure only checks for >=3.7.6.

Please raise check to at least 3.13.1 where key 'switch-to-workspace-last' was introduced.
