Description Hammer Attila 2015-01-07 11:02:44 UTC
Dear developers,

If I using GNOME 3.10 with GNOME Shell classic session and activate top bar with ALT+F1 keystroke, the available main menu and submenu categories and menu items is relative accessible.
If this is possible, please add some keyboard navigation related features future:
1. Please add mnemonics letter support with main top bar kategories, submenu groups and menu items.
For example, if I drop down after the ALT+F1 keystroke with application menu, the available groups possible selecting only with arrow keys. When I need dropdown a sub group, I need using the right arrow key.
If I want selecting the system tools group, I need press more down arrow keystrokes. If the system tools group have an automated generated mnemonic letter (for example the s or the t letter), only need press the mnemonic letter to the proper group is dropdowned.

2. Now, home and end keystrokes nothing doing. If a group is dropdowned, need jumping the first or the previous group.
If not dropdowned any top bar categories (for example after a simple ALT+F1 keystroke), home key need jumping the first category menu item, END key need jumping the last category menu item.

The best solution if future GNOME Shell using the GTK+3 keyboard navigation schema if this is possible.

Hi André,
This feature unfortunately missing I think the GNOME Shell master branch version too. Unfortunately I not have possibility to test this implementation exists in latest master branch of GNOME Shell, I using Ubuntu 14.04.
Not better to change you setted 3.10 version to latest master branch version? You setted the 3.10 version.

You tested with 3.10 so I set 3.10. Once anybody has checked whether it's still an issue in a newer version, please set that newer version on this report.
Thanks!
