Description Allan Day 2014-12-05 17:08:27 UTC
From the downstream bug:

"i have an external display for my notebook, which is sometimes connected, some other times is not. after i connect it and then disconnect it, the windows do no longer fit in their place, and sometimes i've seen things like"windows" key no longer working, or "windows" never coming out of preview. this also may be or not related to the extremely slow runnign of yum, sometimes."

I see this in a wayland session when I make the second monitor primary. It doesn't seem to happen in a normal x11 session. If I change the monitor settings back so the first monitor is primary, the overview works properly.

Sorry, wrong bug!
Comment 4 GNOME Infrastructure Team 2021-07-05 14:23:27 UTC
GNOME is going to shut down bugzilla.gnome.org in favor of gitlab.gnome.org.
As part of that, we are mass-closing older open tickets in bugzilla.gnome.org
which have not seen updates for a longer time (resources are unfortunately
quite limited so not every ticket can get handled).

If you can still reproduce the situation described in this ticket in a recent
and supported software version, then please follow
  https://wiki.gnome.org/GettingInTouch/BugReportingGuidelines
and create a new ticket at
  https://gitlab.gnome.org/GNOME/gnome-shell/-/issues/

Thank you for your understanding and your help.
