Description Ryan Lerch 2014-10-07 17:51:22 UTC
Currently the album art is scaled down to a 128px size to fit in the album art view. However on high DPI screens, this resulting image is blurry.

Would it be possible to export the pixbuf to 256px, but scale the result down to the relative 128px size so the images are crisp on a high DPI screen?

Also affects gnome-music 3.16

Text is sharp and clear next to blurry album artwork.

Music needs to load artwork pixbuf at 128px * GtkImage.scale_factor(). Then convert it to cairo surface and then setting GtkImage.

I've added a wip/mschraal/coverart branch on git, which should fix this issue. Please test and report back.

This problem has been fixed in the unstable development version. The fix will be available in the next major software release. You may need to upgrade your Linux distribution to obtain that newer version.
