Description Geert Janssens 2014-09-27 16:05:43 UTC
The idea behind this rfe is that a user when starting a new book is asked his country and that based on this several options get preconfigured.

Here are a few of them that make sense:
1. The default currency for the book (the user now has to select this himself)
2. Which account templates to show in the assistant (currently these are based on locale, but a user may want to create a book for a foreign set of accounts as well)
3. The default tax invoice to use when printing invoices (this comes from bug 695610)
4. The tax system to use

I expect several more to pop up once this gets implemented.

Perhaps this rfe involves less intervention rather than more. At present there is a limit on country AA seeing country BB xea account structures. I think it preferable that people can see each others notional structures to enhance conversation.

Specifically:
1. a currency for a book makes sense with the current model
2. *makes no sense* I'd like this to be changed, too
3. I think we should be able to use the available invoice formats regardless, if nothing else we can learn a bit from each
4. I have no comment on that at the moment

I'd like this extended so that
Actions / New Account Hierarchy / allowed non-native imports.

Reason: I am strongly in favour of gnc being international.

Probable block: me, I'll have a look but I think I probably won't be able to work out where to get stuff to happen even though I know what to fix. Grrr *combo* sigh. I do want to help, honest.
