Description Adrian Custer 2014-09-12 02:22:48 UTC
Working with the Mac OS X port of Gedit, version 3.13.91
  ftp://ftp.gnome.org/pub/GNOME/binaries/mac/gedit/beta/Gedit-3.13.91-dbg-1.dmg

The 'Multi-edit plugin' can lead to crashes.

0) Install the beta, start Gedit, activate the 'multi-edit mode' plugin
1) Type some text, say 6 lines reading 'Well this is kindda wierd' i.e.
Well this is kindda wierd.
Well this is kindda wierd.
Well this is kindda wierd.
Well this is kindda wierd.
Well this is kindda wierd.
Well this is kindda wierd.
if you want to cut and paste.
2) Select some text, say from the 't' at the start of the 'this' on the first line, to the 's' at the end of the 'this' on the last line.
3) Hit return
=> All the 'this' words are selected in a column.
4) Start typing a replacement, say 'that'
=> CRASH

Note that after the crash, a dialog pops up with [ignore] [report] [reopen] choices and the [reopen] does not work.

This happens in text mode and also in javascript mode.
