Description Andreas Glaeser 2014-08-24 12:18:02 UTC
This was filed as bug in Debian-testing:

https://bugs.debian.org/cgi-bin/bugreport.cgi?bug=758867

Package: evolution
Version: 3.12.2-1+b1
Severity: normal

Dear Maintainer,

I gave a talk at my local Linux-usergroup about e-mail-clients and GPG (see attachment).
When preparing that, it turned out, that the Evolution-version currently in testing does
not work with our courier-mailserver there. In the first place Evolution does not detect
the correct server-settings at setup, which is no problem for icedove, then, upon manual
account-configuration it does not show the IMAP-inbox-folder. It seemed to work upon
sending myself a test-mail, but only for once, so this is not a suitable workaround. In
order to tell things more prcisely: IMAP-folders are shown correctly, except the
inbox-folder. It is a regression, because the current stable version of Evolution works
just fine. I used that for my presentation. The server is:

courier Server 4.8.0-3

P.S. I am going to forward this to upstream as recommended, but not right now, at once.
OK ?

Please see "IMAP" on https://wiki.gnome.org/Apps/Evolution/Debugging for how to provide more debug information here (which is needed).
