Description Ervin 2014-07-04 15:29:11 UTC
Created attachment 279916 [details]
It shows how by default the make a new file for gnucash window appears and can't be resized.

The options cancel and the other option to proceed simply do not show, which is a major hurdle for this very good program.
I tried re-sizing the window several time to no avail.

Thanks for the bug report. I don't think this is related to nautilus so I'm moving it to GnuCash.

Please set the version of GnuCash installed in your system.
Comment 2 John Ralls 2014-07-05 11:23:15 UTC
Ervin, what size display are you using? 800x600?
Comment 3 Ervin 2014-07-05 14:59:22 UTC
Display Size 1366 x 768 (16:9) ratio. (Maximum resolution which works best with my laptop)
System Fedora Linux on an 14 inch laptop.
GnuCash version 2.6.3

As another temporary workaround you should be able move the dialog box in Linux
by holding the ALT key and left mouse button then dragging the dialog box
upwards.
Comment 5 Ervin 2014-07-06 14:25:31 UTC
Thank you Mike, it really worked very well, this workaround.
Comment 6 Ervin 2014-07-06 14:26:24 UTC
However I hope the gnucash team or somebody can fix this bug, as it might give a bad reputation to an otherwise excellent and free both as in free beer and freedom application.

Additional workaround I discovered,
Press Alt + F7 than move the dialog box either with the keyboard arrows
or just moving the mouse.
