Description Jim Nelson 2014-05-21 01:50:07 UTC
If the user switches conversations while an inline composer is open, Geary will prompt the user to verify if it's okay to close them. One problem is that Geary currently doesn't display the saved drafts in the "normal" conversation views, only in the Drafts folder. Another is the situation where Geary can't save the draft because of server support (notably, no UIDPLUS).

Although it won't solve the second issue, we'd like for Geary to display drafts alongside messages in every conversation pre-loaded into composer widgets so the user can continue typing immediately. In this situation, the only reason for a confirmation dialog would be if the composed drafts aren't saved.

I cannot see any difference between this bug and Bug 743066.
I would mark that one as a duplicate of this.

GNOME is going to shut down bugzilla.gnome.org in favor of gitlab.gnome.org.
As part of that, we are mass-closing older open tickets in bugzilla.gnome.org
which have not seen updates for a longer time (resources are unfortunately
quite limited so not every ticket can get handled).

If you can still reproduce the situation described in this ticket in a recent
and supported software version, then please follow
  https://wiki.gnome.org/GettingInTouch/BugReportingGuidelines
and create a new ticket at
  https://gitlab.gnome.org/GNOME/geary/-/issues/

Thank you for your understanding and your help.
