Description Dan Winship 2014-05-19 18:23:03 UTC
When we ported to BlueZ 5 (bug 701078), we dropped support for DUN connections, and we still haven't fixed it yet.

That bug has some discussion about how it should work.
Comment 1 Dan Williams 2014-06-19 15:16:42 UTC
I've done some work here in dcbw/dun and I can connect to the phone and it's recognized by ModemManager. Needs to be finished but the Bluetooth/DUN bits are complete.
Comment 2 Stefan Neufeind 2014-07-19 12:21:12 UTC
Can this possibly also allow NetworkManager to offer a "server" via Bluetooth for other devices to connect (and possibly use network-sharing)? Or is that out of scope? I wonder if BlueZ supports that and if it would require much on the NM-side to support inbound connections as well.
Comment 3 Dan Winship 2014-07-19 15:21:48 UTC
that would be an entirely unrelated feature
Comment 4 Stefan Neufeind 2014-07-19 16:05:13 UTC
Oh sorry and thanks. Filed a separate request for it then. #733408
