Description Alessio Treglia 2014-05-07 13:01:14 UTC
This comes from a Debian bug report:

GNOME-Comander crashes when using (file) search while running as root without
any warning message.
 I found this in kern.log:

" Mar 17 07:43:50 Debian-Wheezy kernel: [ 2658.475378] gnome-commander[3900]:
segfault at 0 ip b69fe51a sp bf8c48d8 error 4 in
libglib-2.0.so.0.3000.2[b6989000+fa000] "

Thanks for taking the time to report this bug.

However, the version which was used in this case (1.2.8.15) is too old and not supported anymore. So unfortunately there will not be any bug fixes for the version that was used.

Furthermore I can not reproduce this behavior with v.1.4.1 on Gentoo Linux. By upgrading GCMD to a newer version of GCMD bug fixes and new functionality can be received. It might be that the described behavior vanishes with v1.4.1 also for the original bug reporter.

Please feel free to reopen this bug if the problem still occurs with a newer
version of GCMD.
