Description Charles Snow 2014-04-27 14:15:06 UTC
I'm a new user and just installed GnuCash-2.6.3.exe on my Win7 x64 system (German).
I create new accounts using only the default "SKR49" accounts. Then the GUI is very slow. Slecting anything, moving the sliders in the column headers, expanind/contracting groups of accounts...everything takes an eternity. Like up to 2 seconds.

I tried again, this time I created just the default personal account defaults. The GUI is responsive and fast.

Therefore, I think it has to do how many (sub-)accounts are created. However, the default settings should not cause GnuCash to grind to the point of unuasability.
