Appmenus attached to CSD if possible

I'm using gnome-shell 3.12 from official arch repos.

Here's what's happening:

Whenever I plug a monitor, appmenus appear attached to CSD.
I could understand that as a feature if more than one monitor is on, but they are still on the CSD even if only the external monitor is enabled.

Moreover, while using multiple monitors, gnome-shell tells me something went wrong and displays that screen that forces you to log out. However, if there's another app running when that screen appears, I can just use alt+tab and the warning disappears.

Also, when using external monitors, custom short-cuts and media keys such as volume and media controls do not work...

I don't know if these issues are related or what may cause them...

It sounds like gnome-settings-daemon is crashing. What distro do you use, and can you get crash logs?
Comment 2 adria.arrufat 2014-04-20 18:30:34 UTC
I'm using Arch linux. Where do I get the crash logs from?
Comment 3 Jasper St. Pierre (not reading bugmail) 2014-04-20 18:32:02 UTC
Not sure. Ask your distribution for help receiving crash logs.
Comment 4 adria.arrufat 2014-04-20 19:00:27 UTC
Here you have the output of journalctl when I plug the screen, don't know if that helps:

Update, this error only happens if the primary display is disabled.

If I enable the display and then run the gnome-settings-daemon, everything works perfectly.

Do you think it might be caused because I'm using a ThinkPad X220T, which means the screen is touch and wacom enabled? Anyway, that used to work under GNOME 3.10.

Fixed in gnome-desktop 3.12.1
