GNOME Bugzilla – Bug 725372
Can't leave fullscreen mode with mouse (can't show header bar)
Last modified: 2014-12-23 14:34:54 UTC
Once in fullscreen mode, it is only possible to leave it by pressing <ESC> key. It is impossible to show header bar and click the "back" button.
I've noticed this on 3.10.1 also - with some documents you get a header bar when you click on the document, a header bar and floating navigation bar are displayed. However, with other documents, clicking has no effect. This might be connected to the floating navigation bar - as far as I can tell, they are linked. No floating navigation bar, no header bar (and vice versa). We should always show the header bar when you move the mouse, in the same way as the navigation bar behaviour that was introduced for 3.12.
Bug 725634 could be related.
This is still present in 3.14.x (gnome-documents-3.14.0-1.fc21.x86_64), there is no button/menu where you can select to leave full screen mode, only way is ESC (as said in the bug description), or F11.
I have not found a document where I would get a headerbar in fullscreen mode. But I do get a floating navigation bar for every document. So maybe putting a 'leave fullscreen' button there would be an option.
Pushed a fix for this to git master.
