GNOME Bugzilla – Bug 723373
GnuCash file opened read-only creates scheduled transactions, modifies file
Last modified: 2018-06-29 23:25:46 UTC
If you open a GnuCash file read-only because it is locked by another GnuCash instance, and there are pending scheduled transactions in the file they will be created and the file will be marked modified (e.g., there will be an asterisk next to its name in your window title bar). The scheduled transactions should not be created if the file is opened read-only.
Sorry for that. Should be fixed in r23783 which will appear in 2.6.2.
