Description Arjen Veenhuizen 2014-01-22 15:05:54 UTC
Since we're using an old version of x264 (http://ftp.videolan.org/pub/x264/snapshots/x264-snapshot-20120827-2245-stable.tar.bz2), this bug (http://git.videolan.org/gitweb.cgi/x264.git/?a=commit;h=f6a8615ab0c922ac2cb5c82c9824f6f4742b1725) has not yet been fixed causing x264enc to crash when run on an iPad4 (iPad2 is unaffected).

Applying this patch on /common/cpu.c solves the problem: http://git.videolan.org/gitweb.cgi/x264.git/?p=x264.git;a=patch;h=f6a8615ab0c922ac2cb5c82c9824f6f4742b1725
